FEBRUARY 14-15

The first national biobanking conference

Location: Gothia Towers, Gothenburg
 
For the first time the National Biobank Council (NBR) is organizing a national biobank conference. During these days, about 200 participants gather to present and discuss biobanks in Sweden. We will get information about the ongoing biobank investigation, the new ISO standard, IT innovations, current research, and much more.

Illumina Oncology Network Meeting

Location: Hilton Hotel at Copenhagen Airport, Denmark
 
Techtum is a sponsor of the Illumina Oncology Network Meeting. During this meeting invited speakers will describe how NGS is implemented in their clinical research.
 

 

NOVEMBER 17-18

The NMMD (Network for Molecular Microbiological Diagnostics) meeting 2016

Location: Kosta Boda Art Hotel, Kosta
 
This year, the NMMD meeting is organized by the Microbiology Department of Kronoberg and Blekinge. The meeting will begin with a study of Clinical Microbiology in Växjö and then continue with the traditional meeting at Kosta Boda Art Hotel.

NOVEMBER 14-15

Equalis user meeting for Molecular diagnostics

Location: Hotell Scandic Hallandia, Halmstad
 
The program for this meeting includes both follow-ups of quality assurance activities in the field, and presentations on current topics. This year's user meeting will focus on three themes: safety tests, cell-free DNA, and hemochromatosis.

There is the option to end the user meeting with a visit of Clinical Pathology and Cytology, and Molecular Biology Centre for clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology and clinical pathology & cytology at Halland Hospital, Halmstad.

NOVEMBER 10

Bioscience 2016 - Research through innovative technologies

Location: Aula Medica at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm
Time: 8.30-16.30

 
Main themes this year are Cancer, CRISPR/Cas9 and Imaging.

Bioscience provides a platform for meetings and networking, and the event is aimed at parties in both industry and academia. Important target groups are mainly researchers, PI’s and professors but also lab technicians, biomedical analysts, lab equipment procurement officers and pharmaceutical industry staff.

The meeting will include a series of interesting lectures focusing on new technologies and applications as well as the latest advances and results in research.

Biotexcel NGS 2016 Nordic

Location: Medicon Village, Lund
 
Techtum is a sponsor of the third annual NGS 2016 Nordic Conference that will take place at the Medicon Village in Lund and is organised in partnership with the Kennedy Centre at Rigshospitalet, Odense University Hospital and Lund Cancer Centre.

The conference is focused on the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies and tools to look at human disease whether in a research or a clinical setting.

The following areas will be covered:

  • The Metagenomics link to health/disease

The BMA day 2016 (BMA-dagen)

Location: Elite Hotel Ideon, Lund
Time: 07.45-16.30

 
The BMA day is aimed at those who work as a BMA, research engineers, lab assistants or similar. This year offers a program of speakers and exhibitors. The previous BMA day was visited by around 200 people.
 

 

SEPTEMBER 27-29

CPH LabMed 2016 - Scandinavian trade fair for laboratory technology

Location: Lokomotivværkstedet, Copenhagen, Denmark
 
This event showcases products and services related to technology which include various scientific products and diagnostic services etc. in the Scientific Instruments, Research & Development industries.

CPH LabMed 2014 was visited by 5,483 professionals, which gave three busy days for the 134 exhibitors.

Microbiology Spring Meeting & Infectious Disease Week

Location: Helsingborg Arena, Helsingborg
 
The meeting gives you unique opportunities to present and discuss your basic research, clinical project, or diagnostics and therapy with medical doctors, nurses, academic researchers and clinical laboratory scientists.

The Future of Swedish & Danish Life Science 2016

Location: Medicon Village, Scheelevägen 2, Lund
 
Some 40 exhibitors and 350 visitors are expected at this annual international networking forum organized by Kemivärlden Biotech/Journal of Chemistry & Biotechnology, Medicon Village and Medicon Valley Allliance. The target audience are decision makers in the pharma, biotech, medtech and healthcare sectors, R&D ­persons from the industry and academia.

Themes for the fifth edition of the international meeting The Future of Swedish & Danish Life Science are:
  • How can we speed up time and streamline the Nordic Life Science Ecosystem in terms of the healtchare system (e-health etc), financing, new drugs, market access etc.
  • How can we strengthen collaboration between Swedish and Danish life science and industry, academia and clinics?

Health University Research Symposium (HURS) 2016

Location: Linköping Health University
 
Every year DOMFIL arranges a research symposium called Health University Research Symposium (HURS). The purpose of HURS is to bring forward the medical research conducted in Linköping, inspire PhD student to better research and at the same time create a platform for meetings between the industry, the students and the researchers.

Umeå Renewable Energy Meeting 2016

Location: KBC, Umeå universitet
 
The Umeå Renewable Energy meeting 2016 is dedicated to presentations and discussions about how fuels and valuable products can be made with the help of sunlight. The meeting is highly interdisciplinary, with speakers and attendees having backgrounds in physics, chemistry, biology and physiology.

Careers in Health and Science Expo (CHaSE) is the life sciences careers fair at Karolinska Institutet, organized by the student association (Medicinska Föreningen) for the students.
